Our Terms

Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Containers must not be moved once they have been delivered to your location.

  2. Only approved items may be placed in the container as outlined on our Frequently asked Questions. If your skip if found to contain any item(s) which are not permitted, a charge for disposal of each item will be applied in addition to a £60+VAT administrative fee which shall be due for payment immediately.

  3. Explicitly excluded items include fridges, freezers, tyres, TVs, computer monitors, batteries, asbestos, mattresses or any hazardous materials (glass, plaster board, wet waste). A general guide is available here. Restricted items found during disposal of your waste will incur an additional charge per item from £50-150+VAT depending on the item. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing the item in your skip.

  4. The  container may not contain plasterboard, Unless otherwise agreed, additional charges may apply if plasterboard has been placed in container.

  5. The wasted journey charge is £70.00+VAT for a skip lorry or £110+VAT for a Grab/RoRo Lorry.

  6. Weight restrictions apply on any skips 6 yards or larger which are not suitable for extra heavy loads including soil, rubble, concrete or hardcore and will be rejected if in breach of this condition and will incur a wasted journey charge of £70+VAT. Densely packed skips of 6 yards or higher may be too heavy to pick up. In this case, excess waste will then need to be removed from the skip, Tips on the loaded of skips can be found on our do’s and don’ts page.

  7. When hiring a skip from 101 Waste Management, You are reminded if the skip is placed on Council property, verges & The Public Highway the skip MUST have a PERMIT from your local council, prior to delivery – it must also have cones and lights to highlight the skips position to all pedestrians and users of the public highway throughout the term of the hire. This can be applied for from your local council prior to ordering. Any fines penalties or other liabilities arising as a result of failing to adhere to section 31 of the Highway Act 1971 is the responsibility of the hirer to pay.

  8. If a container cannot be delivered due to a missing permit or insufficient access to the delivery location the hirer will incur an administration fee of £70+VAT. Any imagery supplied or requested of the delivery location does not guarantee suitable access and will incur a wasted journey charge of £70+VAT if we are unable to deliver the skip. The driver’s decision is final as to whether the skip can be delivered into the desired location.

  9. 101 Waste Management shall not be held liable for any penalties, charges or other liabilities as a result of the customer failing to comply with the Highways Act 1971 or any local council restrictions related to the hire. The customer shall be liable for these charges plus a £25+VAT administration fee.

  10. 101Waste Management reserves the right to request any supporting documentation in relation to council permits and suspended parking bay authorisations.

  11. The responsibility of maintaining an active skip hire permit, where required, is the responsibility of the customer at all times.

  12. In a situation where it is required for our vehicles to leave a road and enter private property to deliver or collect a container, the customer is responsible for any claims, damages or expenses to the vehicle(s) and/or container(s) which may be sustained whilst on the property.

  13. Additionally, the property of customers or third parties or personal injury to the customer or any third parties and customer indemnifies us against all claims, demands and costs however this arises.

  14. Customers are liable for any loss or damage incurred to the containers whilst on hire to them, regardless of cause, with the exception of general wear and tear.

  15. The customer shall also fully indemnify 101 Waste Management in respect of any claims for injury to persons or property arising out of the use of the containers whilst on hire to them however caused.

  16. Customers must adhere to the Highways Authority codes, in particular the provision of lamps and traffic cones if containers are sited in a location which poses a risk or is likely to be a contributing cause to any damage or injury to third parties during the hours of darkness.

  17. If 101 Waste Management is made aware that the customer may not be in compliance with the terms and conditions, we reserve the right to remove the container immediately, without notice or refund.

  18. Cancellations within 48 hours of your chosen delivery date are non-refundable under any circumstances. Cancellations outside of 48 hours will incur a £20+VAT administrative charge.

  19. Delivery dates and times are not guaranteed under any circumstances and are requests only.

  20. Collection dates are not supplied with a specific time slot and will be the earliest point at which we endeavour to collect the skip. Failure to collect a skip on or after your chosen collection date will incur a wasted journey charge of £85+VAT.

  21. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the skip remains secure and are responsible for any items placed in the skip.

  22. All skips must be a level load and not filled higher than the height of the skip. Overloaded skips will incur a wasted journey charge.

  23. Any requests to change the size of the skip after placing an order are not eligible for any discount codes.

  24. Wait and load services are subject to availability. Up to 15-30 minutes is included free of charge depending on your area and is billable in one hour blocks of £60+VAT per hour. For example, if the driver is waiting for 30 minutes after the free period, a 1 hour block would be charged.

  25. By Hiring from us you are accepting of these terms you are indemnifying 101 Waste Management and its associated suppliers, from any claim whatsoever, this also applies during the term of the hire if the skip is placed on private property you are authorized to use or your own property.

  1. We are committed to protecting and respecting your personal information and privacy. All information provided by you to process your order or to make enquiries is used solely for that purpose unless we have your consent to do otherwise. We promise never to release your personal details to any outside company for their mailing or marketing purposes.

  2. Your use of this website and its facilities signifies your consent to the collection of information required to process your order or enquiry to the extent of administering the payment and executing your delivery, providing you with the best possible service.

  3. 101 Waste Management may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from Nov 2019.

  4. When you use the services or enquire for information from 101 Waste Management either by phone, email or website, you’re voluntarily giving us information which is required to book a skip. The information we usually require will include full name, business name, email address, company address and telephone number. This enables us to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

  5. You will be asked to enter personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address) in order to receive or use services on our website. By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable 101 Waste Management to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information in accordance with this statement. When using your personal information 101 Waste Management will act in accordance with the new GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS (GDPR) and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

 

General Website Terms of Use

 

1. Terms

By accessing the website at 101WasteManagement.com, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on 101 Waste Management’s website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that country or location.
